AVA, Kristy Renee Phoenix, 17, of Ava, passed away in rural Vergennes, IL on Monday, November 3, 2008 Kristy was born February 02, 1991 in Murphysboro, Illinois the daughter of Brett Phoenix and Tammy (Tweedy) Phoenix. She was a member of the Sato Baptist Church. She was a senior at Trico High School in Campbell Hill, IL, where she was a very active member of the high school and all activities there. Kristy is survived by her parents, Brett and Tammy Phoenix of Ava, IL; two sisters, Kassidy and Kaitlyn Phoenix of Ava, IL; paternal grandparents, Irvin and DeFlain Phoenix of Ava, IL; uncles, Bart (Lucy) Phoenix of Ava, Nathan (Susan) Phoenix of Ava and Hal (Michelle) Tweedy of Murphysboro; many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her Maternal grandparents and one aunt, Jamie Phoenix. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. at Trico High School Auditorium in Campbell Hill. Rev. Don Caraway will be officiating. Visiting hours will be held at Trico High School Auditorium on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm. Memorials may be made to a Scholarship Fund in memory of Kristy or the American Heart Association.
