AVA – Kent L. Holliday, 92, of Ava, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at home in Ava.

Kent was born in Ava, on February 19, 1929, the son of Edward I. and Cassie Bagley Holliday.  He married D. Roberta Bilderback on July 15, 1950 at Murphysboro.  She preceded him in death on June 27, 1973.  He was retired from Illinois Department of Highway.  Kent was a member of the Ava Assembly of God Church.

Kent is survived by his children, Mark (Jane) Holliday of Ava and Sandra Thompson of Cambria, IL; grandchildren, Tiffany Kell, Gabriel Thompson, and Melissa (Thomas) Olges; great grandchildren, Corey, Dalton, Colton, Connor, Caleb, and Gavin.

Kent was preceded in death by his Parents; one son, Dale; one daughter, Linda Boaz; one grandchild; three brothers; and nine sisters.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 15, 2021; at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Timothy Moats officiating.  Burial will follow.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call on Monday, from 11 am until 12:45 pm.  Memorials may be given to the Ava Assembly of God Church.  To sign the guestbook visit www.wilsonsfuneralhome.net .  Due to executive orders, current COVID guidelines will be followed.
