STEELEVILLE, Kenneth R. Stewart, 65, of Steeleville, passed away at 12:48 AM Friday, May 31, 2013, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois. He was born November 9, 1947 in Murphysboro, Illinois the son of Charles V.and Dorothy (Lovins) Stewart. Kenneth was retired from World Color Press in Sparta, IL and from Mecca in Pinckneyville, IL. He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Kenneth was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL and also a member of the Mississippi Valley Gun Club. Kenneth is survived by his: mother: Dorothy Stewart, Steeleville, IL and Uncle and Aunts: Marvin and Marjorie Stewart, Steeleville, IL and Betty Reid, Sparta, IL. Kenneth is preceded in death by his father and brother, Charles L. Stewart. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call on Sunday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 7:30 to 11am. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
