CHESTER – Kenneth R. Kohrs, 74, of Chester, formerly of Sparta, passed away at 1:57 am, Friday, June 19, 2020.

Kenneth was born in Sparta, Illinois, on November 21, 1945, the son of the late Raymond and Marie Eggemeyer Kohrs.  He married Sarah Myers on May 23, 1975, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Sparta.  Kenneth was retired from Truck Driver at Gilster Mary Lee, Steeleville office.  He was of the Lutheran Faith.  Kenneth enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family and was a strong supporter of Sparta High School Sports programs.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sarah  Kohrs of Chester; children, Kathy (Ray) McConachie of Chester, Kelly (Melvin) Coop of Walsh, IL, and Kevin (Lori) Kohrs of Trenton, IL; grandchildren, Kristopher (Amanda) McConachie, Kacie (Brent) Jones, Kelsie (Chad) Buss, Klayton Coop, Alexis (Jacob) Jeschke, Kenzie Kohrs, Kennedy Kohrs, Kyle Kohrs, Nathan Godat; great grandchildren, Kody (fiancée: Katie) McConachie, Kourtney McConachie, Hudsen Buss, Addelyn Buss; and sister, Judy (George) Ledbetter of Sparta.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his Parents; twin sons, Kenneth D. and Keith D. Kohrs; two daughters, Stacie R. Kohrs and Kim R. Kohrs; and daughter-in-law, Doreen Kohrs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta, with Pastor Richard Reid officiating.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Randolph County Humane Society and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
