STEELEVILLE – Kenneth L. Jones, 83, of Steeleville passed away at 2:50 PM, Saturday, May 2, 2020 at his home.

Kenneth was born on March 23, 1937, in Gillespie, Illinois the son of Cletus and Rose Jones. Kenneth was in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger between wars. After the service he was employed with Illinois Power Company and managed the Sparta District before retiring .

Kenneth is survived by his son; Tim Jones and his spouse Holly Jones of Huntington Beach, California, 2 grandchildren; Nicholas L. Jones and Amanda I. Jones. He is also survived by his half sister; Mickey Derganc, of Gillespie, Illinois, half brother; Marty Derganc, of Benld, Illinois.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents.

It was Mr. Jones's wish's for no services. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
