PERCY, Kenneth A. James, 63, of Percy, passed away at 11:50 am, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his home. Kenneth was born on January 12, 1949 in Chester, IL, the son of Rylon and Marcella Kirkover James. He married Alice M. Davis on August 2, 1969 in Wine Hill, IL. He was a retired factory worker. Kenneth was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam Conflict and received a purple heart. He was a life member of the Kaskaskia VFW Post #3553, Chester and a Life Member of the DAV. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Alice M. James of Percy; three children, Michael (Peg) James of Bremen, IL, Pamela (John) Lee of Murphysboro, IL and Thomas James of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Jordan and Jessica James and Corey and Paige Lee; mother, Marcella James of Perryville, MO; and one brother, Lawrence James of Perryville, MO. Kenneth was preceded in death by his Father; two brothers; and one infant sister. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 9 am until 1 pm on Friday. Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
