STEELEVILLE - Kenneth R. Hamilton, 65, of Steeleville, passed away at 7:55 am, Sunday, August 17, 2014 at his home. Kenneth was born in Chester, Illinois on October 15, 1948, the son of Archie C. and Eileen Heins Hamilton. He married Carol J. Bollman on November 7, 1976 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Kenneth retired on June 30, 2014 as a Diesel Mechanic from Gilster Mary Lee Corporation. He was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, the Mississippi Valley Club, and was involved with the Hamilton Angus Farm. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol J. Hamilton of Steeleville; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Travis Graff of Ava; and two brothers, Glenn (Meindy) Hamilton of Sesser, IL and Don (Julie) Hamilton of Ava. Kenneth was preceded in death by his Parents. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 11 am then from Noon until 1 pm at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's School Building Fund.
