JACOB, Kenneth Davis, 70, of Jacob, passed away at 4:09 A.M. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Kenny was born February 04, 1939 in Ava, Illinois the son of August Davis and Frieda (Lange) Davis. He married Judith Marshall on September 30, 1961 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, IL. She preceded him in death on January 20, 2008. Kenny was a veteran of the US Army. He was the owner of Davis Sales & Service in Jacob, IL. Kenny was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob, IL; American Legion Paul Stout Post #127 in Murphysboro; Director Chapter #32 IH Collectors and National Member; former officer of Gateway Toy Club; Charter member of the Fountain Bluff Fire Department; and Trustee of the Fountain Bluff Township. He is survived by a daughter, Linda (Phillip) Palm of Hoffman, IL; sister-in-law, Wilma Nelson of Murphysboro; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn & Richard Pierson of Murphysboro; mother-in-law, Edith Sandusky of Murphysboro. He was also preceded in death by his Parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob with Rev. Mike Kettner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Campbell Hill, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Monday from 5 to 8 pm and on Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, IL from 9 to 10 am. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran General Fund.
