AVA - Kenneth Raymond Dammermann, 50, of Ava, passed away at 10:15 pm, Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Kenneth was born in Murphysboro, IL on November 20, 1962, the son of Herman and Ann Clark Dammermann. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Ava and was a Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus in Pinckneyville, IL. Kenneth is survived by his Father, Herman Dammermann of Ava; brothers, Richard Dammermann of Willisville, William (Sheila) Dammermann of Percy, Karl (Lori) Dammermann of Ava; sisters, Donna (Mike) Crain of Percy, Cynthia Dammermann of Ava, Debra (Mike) Rathert of Ava, Terri (Tom) Wilhite of Ava; and several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his Mother; one brother, Ronnie Dammermann; one infant sister; and a sister-in-law, Judy Dammermann. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 am on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Ava with Father Leo J. Hayes officiating. Burial will be at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo with a graveside service at 1 pm Monday. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Sunday with Rosary being recited at 8 pm and on Sunday and on Monday from 7:30 am until 10 am. Memorials may be given to Shriner's Hospital for Children, St. Jude's or Masses.
