PERCY – Kenneth Ray Bierman-Rees, 77, of Percy, passed away surrounded by his family, at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab in Pinckneyville, Illinois, at 1:55 am, on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Kenneth was born in Denmark, Illinois, on September 6, 1945. He was the son of Charles and Eva Rees Bierman. Kenneth was a retired Coal Miner and Ironworker. He was the owner of Kens Lounge during the 80s. He was a Veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Era from 1966 to 1968.  Kenneth was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro, Texas, Ironworkers Local #392, UMW of A, and BBK American Legion Post #480, Steeleville. Kenneth enjoyed traveling to Florida and visiting family in Texas. He loved Daytona Beach, while there he loved to drive on the beach and watch the cars and motorcycles. Kenneth was a car enthusiast and he loved watching his grandchildren's sporting events.

Kenneth is survived by daughters, Shelly (Todd) McDonald of Palm Coast, FL, Heather (Jeremy) Romine of St. James, MO, Christy Rees of Sheddfield, IL, Lyndi Rees of Mississippi, and Amy Rees of Nashville, IL; grandchildren, Christopher, Savanah, Cody, Gavin, Tommy, Elijah, Rhyker, Makenzie, Miley, and Max; sisters, Barbara LaSala of Willisville and Donna Whitehurst of Winnsboro, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and significant other, Barbara Milligan of Overland, MO, and many friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Rev. Ed Spiller officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Cemetery, Percy, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given to Tri-County Pentecostal Church, Cutler or River of Life Church, Percy.
