AVA – Kennedy Lynn Anderson, 17, of Ava passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, on Brick Plant Road, near Campbell Hill as a result from an automobile accident.
Kennedy was born on May 9, 2001 in Carbondale, the daughter of Keith and Jennifer (McGriff) Anderson. Kennedy was a senior at Trico High School Class of 2019, and worked as a server at Crazy Joes, in Ava. She was a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill.
Kennedy is survived by her parents; Keith Anderson, of Ava, and Jennifer Anderson, of Ava, brother; Zachary Anderson, of Ava, grandparents; Steve and Pam McGriff, of Ava, Flo Deppe, of Percy, Pamela Anderson, of Percy. Maternal grandparents; Betty McGriff, of Ava, and Gene Williamson, of Murphysboro, aunts; Stephanie (Todd) Beckman, of Tampa, Florida, Julie (Curt) Volkman, of Ava, Gina (Leon) Scott, of Chester, Rodney (Kristen) Anderson, of Ava, Chrissy (Joe) Taylor, of McClure, and Angie (Bruce) Dunning, of West Frankfort.
Kennedy was preceded in death by her grandpa; Clint Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the Trico High School, with Larry Lovel, officiating. Burial will be at the Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava. Visitation will be on Saturday at the Trico High School where friends may call from 10 AM, until 2 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
