MURPHYSBORO - Keith A. Rendleman, 55, of Murphysboro passed away February 17, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones after an almost two year battle with cancer.

Keith was born in Murphysboro, on May 18, 1968 to William "Bill" and Linda Thomas Rendleman. Keith was a member of the Carpenters Local 662 and worked at Southern Illinois University where he was employed for nearly 30 years. He got his love of building from his dad and went on to build many houses with his brother Kevin. Keith loved nothing more than being surrounded by his friends and family and there was always sports on the TV. Keith's greatest joy was watching his son and daughter play golf, he never missed a match.

Keith is survived by his children Kody and Kaci Rendleman, Colten and Collin Ferguson; mother Linda Harnetiaux (Larry); brother Kevin Rendleman (Laurie); nephew Clay Rendleman. Keith is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his father Bill Rendleman; grandparents John and Mary Thomas, Earl and Marie Rendleman; and significant other Heather Ferguson.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Cemetery, Ava. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Thursday, and on Friday from 7:30 am until the hour of service.
