JACOB – Kathryn L. Stueve, 89, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL.

Kathryn was born on January 5, 1934, in Rockwood, IL, the daughter of Louis and Alice (Hefner) Sauerhage. She married Melvin A. Stueve on January 25, 1952, at Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, IL. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2007. Kathryn was a homemaker and a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, IL.

Kathryn is survived by her children: Melvin A. (Donna) Stueve Jr, of Ellis Grove, IL, Jackie (Kathy) Stueve of Ava, IL, Susan (Mike) Hines of Ava, IL, Daughter in law, Lisa Stueve of Rockwood, IL; her grandchildren: Melanie (Ian) Akoro, Hollie (Jamison) Tryggestad, Jackie (Becky) Stueve, Jr., Kody (Amanda) Stueve, Tosha (Joe) Phoenix, Tiffany Stevenson; and her seventeen great grandchildren.

Kathryn is also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald Ray Stueve, a granddaughter, Krystal Morgan Stueve, two great granddaughters: Olivia Faith Stueve and Grace Elizabeth Stueve; four brothers: Louis "Andy" Sauerhage, George "Bud" Sauerhage, James Sauerhage, Bill Sauerhage; two sisters: Norma Jean Woelich, Lola Koch; and one infant sister, Virginia Sauerhage.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Christ Lutheran Church, Jacob, IL, with Rev. Robert Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Glenn Cemetery, Rockwood, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, where friends may call on Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, 9:00 to 10:00 am, at the church.
