SPARTA, Kathryn "Kitty"Skaggs Creason Jackson, 90 Years 5 Months, of Sparta, passed away at 3:35 P.M. Saturday, November 01, 2008, at her home in Sparta, IL. She was born June 01, 1918 in Sedalia, Missouri the daughter of Ernest Bender Skaggs and Lena (Haley) Skaggs. She married Ben "Bo" Creason in Glasgow,MO He preceded he in death July 26, 1959. She later married Kenneth Clark Jackson on March 31, 1962 in Tucson, Arizona. After his retirement from Kitt Peak National Observatory the moved to Steeleville, IL and then later to Sparta, IL. Mrs. Jackson worked as a homemaker in her own home and she was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sparta, IL. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Jackson of Sparta, IL, son: Raymond (Gloria) Creason of Dixon, MO, daughter: Doris (Bob) Arnold of Sparta, IL, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, brother: Ray (Betty) Skaggs of Longville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister,Mildred, one son, Delbert Creason. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 4, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Sparta. Rev. Scott Henley will be officiating. Burial will be at Washington Cemetery on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 1 p.m. in Glasgow, MO. Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church Sparta, IL on Tuesday from 4-6 pm Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
