STEELEVILLE – Kathleen Junge, 79, of Steeleville passed away at 9:48 AM, Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Sparta Community Hospital.

Kathleen was born on October 19, 1940, in Red Bud, the daughter of Edward and Frances (Vogt) Windergerst. She married Harvey C. Junge on November 8, 1958, at Red Bud, and they shared nearly 54 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 3, 2012. Kathleen was a farm wife and a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter; Michele (John) Hubert, of Chester, grandchildren; Derek (Andrea) Choate, Courtney (Jason) Oetting, Nathan (Erin) Hubert, Michael Hubert, 4 great grandchildren; Maddy Lu Choate, Harvey Choate, Kaylee Hubert, Oliver Oetting.

Mrs. Junge was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic private graveside services will be held at the Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville with Father Vincent Mukasa, officiating. Memorials may be made in Kathleen's name to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer fund and mailed to the Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Steeleville, Illinois 62288.
