STEELEVILLE – Karen S. Williams, 59, of Steeleville, passed away at 2:19 am, Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Karen was born in Chester, Illinois, on April 21, 1958, the daughter of Arnold W.C. and Loriena Mayer Ebers. She married George Williams on April 23, 1977 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. Karen was retired from Nashville Interior System, Nashville, Illinois. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville.

Karen is survived by her husband, George Williams of Steeleville; two sons, Nathan (Tara) Williams of Chester and Corey (Amy) Williams of Red Bud; five grandchildren, Brock, Kendall, Bryce, Keagan, and Havyn; her mother, Loriena Ebers of Steeleville; three brothers, Earl Ebers of Willisville, IL, Billie Ebers of Indiana, and Steven Ebers of Alabama; and one sister, Linda Ward of Alabama.

Karen was preceded in death by her Father and her nephew, Randy Ebers.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with Rev. Kelly Bedard officiating. Burial will follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 6 pm until 8 pm Wednesday and on Thursday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given to ALS or to the Family for Lindenberg-Beattie Memorial Golf Tournament.
