CAMPBELL HILL – Karen S. Tripp, 64, of Campbell Hill, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, IL.

Karen was born July 29, 1957, in Granite City, IL, to Arvel and Barbara (Reeder) Froemling. She married Michael Tripp on December 2, 1978, in Campbell Hill, IL. Karen was a Graphic Designer for the County Journal, Percy, IL. She was a member of St Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, and was the organist there since she was fourteen years old. Karen was also a member of the Lutheran Church Women, St. Luke's Choir, Bell Choir, and was a long time Girl Scout Leader.

Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Tripp of Campbell Hill, IL, children: Tammy (Jason) Pollard of Sibley, IL, Rusty (Michelle) Tripp of Steeleville, IL; six grandchildren: Nolan, Chasyn, Alexander, and Elena Pollard, Logan and Ella Tripp; father, Arvel Froemling of Campbell Hill, IL, brothers: Rick (Beverly) Froemling, Fred (Mona) Froemling of Campbell Hill, IL; and a sister, Pamela (Charles) Wooden of Collierville, TN.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Froemling.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 16, 2022, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL, with Lay Minister Deb Rathert officiating. Burial to follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 - 8 pm, Wednesday and on Thursday, 10 – 11 am, at the church.
