CHESTER – Karen S. Kempfer, 50, of Chester, passed away at 6:27 PM, Monday, January 9, 2017, at the Memorial Hospital of Chester.
Karen was born on July 27, 1966, in Taylorville, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Barbara (Milligan) Dickerson. She married Timothy W. Kempfer, Sr. on September 6, 1986, in Evansville, Illinois. Karen was a former housekeeper at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester.
Karen is survived by her husband; Timothy W. Kempfer, Sr. of Perryville, Missouri, son; Timothy W. (Angel) Kempfer, Jr., of Chester, her grandchildren; Nicholas Kempfer, Bailey Kempfer, Alexandria Kempfer, Zoe French, Michael Wahls, and David Blum, Jr. She is also survived by 1 brother; Ronnie Milligan, of Sparta, and 1 sister; Mary Klingsmith, of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother; Brian Dickerson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with Rev. Phillip Keeton officiating, and burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at the funeral home where friends may call from 6to 8 PM, and then on Friday morning from 7:30 until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to a Love fund for the Family.
