HERRIN – Karen R. Bryant, 54, of Herrin, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Karen was born April 26, 1967, in Sparta, IL, to Terrell Kempfer and Lavada Neighbors.  Karen attended Ava Missionary Baptist Church, Ava, IL.  She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, riding motorcycles, and the APA Pool League.

Karen is survived her children: Cody (Jessica) Kempfer of Mt. Vernon, IL, Starr (Charles) Parks of Fort Branch, IN, Colt Richard Bramlett of Murphysboro, IL, Dawson Shell of Herrin, IL, and Daviah Shell of Herrin, IL, Dawson and Daviah's father, David Shell; grandchildren: Gabbie, Kai, Alyssa, Caleb, Lilliana, Mercedes, Cody, Jr, Kaiden, Braylyn, Camden, Makenzie, Alaina, Alliyah, Maizlee; mother, Lavada Davis of Mt. Vernon, IL, siblings; Kevin Kempfer of Mt. Vernon, IL, Terrell (Melissa) Kempfer of Mt. Vernon, IL, Darrin (Deanna) Deutcher of Waukegan, KS, Sonya (Patrick) Rupp of Kansas, Danielle Kempfer of Sikeston, MO, Tara (Joe) Foster of Sikeston, MO, Devin Kempfer of Sikeston, MO, Tamara Howard of St. Jacobs, IL, Tracine Kempfer of Collinsville, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen is preceded in death by her father, Terrell Kempfer, Sr., Stepfather, Charles Davis, infant son, Baby Kempfer, her former husband, James Bramlett, five infant grandchildren, and one step son, Jeremy Bramlett.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Tim Olson officiating.  Burial to follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call Saturday, from 7:30 - 12 pm.  The preferred form of remembrance is to the family for funeral expenses and can be mailed to Wilson Funeral Home, P.O.
