WALSH, June Margaret Stellhorn, 90, of Walsh, passed away on Monday, October 03, 2011, in Louisiana, MO. She was born July 18, 1921 in Sparta, Illinois the daughter of Charlie Happel and Margaret Viola (Karstetter) Happel. June married Fred William Stellhorn on October 3, 1945 in Baldwin, Illinois. Fred passed away on January 4, 2005. She is survived by her two daughters: Margaret Viola Pierce of Walsh, IL and Loretta June Woodward of Louisiana, MO; grandchildren: James E.E. and Sarah Pierce of Walsh, IL, Jessica M.V. Coddington of Chester, IL; three great grandchildren: Kathrine Pierce, Ian Pierce, and Brayan Cates; several nieces and nephews. June is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister: Gladdys Happel and two brothers: Charles Happel and Marlen (Jake) Happel. Mrs. Stellhorn was a retired factory worker, she was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Chester, IL and the NRA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Pastor Ed Rowley will be officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and then from 7:30 to the hour of service on Thursday. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph School for Indians, Chamberlain, South Dakota.
