PERCY - June Goetting, 81, of Percy, passed away at 4:16 am, Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester. June was born in Steeleville, Illinois on June 1, 1932, the daughter of Irvin R. and Edith L. Jacoby Fuhrhop. She married Gene Goetting on February 2, 1958 in Steeleville. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2010. June was retired from Memorial Hospital in Chester and was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. June is survived by her children, Holly Williams of Percy, Melody Wittenborn on Campbell Hill, Stacey (Dale) Yates of Percy, and Kelly (Jason) Brown of Perryville, MO; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Yanke of North Manchester, IN. June was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Virginia and Florence. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. S. Blake Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. Memorials may be given to Autism Awareness, Juvenile Diabetes or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
