Obituary

VERGENNES – June E. Blankenship, 87, of Vergennes, passed away at 8:31 pm, Friday, June 6, 2025, at home in Vergennes.

June was born in Vergennes, Illinois, on December 25, 1937, the daughter of Earl and Hazel Johnson Eisenhauer. She married the father of her children, Milton Ebersohl, and he preceded her in death. She was a retired billing Clerk from SIH. June was a member of Faith Methodist Church in Vergennes.

June was a proud and devoted Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. She loved spending time with family and friends and was also a dog Mom to many little best friend dogs over the years. June was of the Christian faith, she loved going to church and Bible study. She retired from SIH at age 73 after many years of service with many notable accomplishments, and also was a Mary Kay consultant for many years with top sales, and she loved to travel. June had a talent for quilting, sewing and crocheting.  She enjoyed her hobbies as well as cooking, baking and sharing recipes. June was very tech savvy and stayed up to date on all the new tech devices. She will be so deeply missed. This is not goodbye, this is see you later.

June is survived by her children, Keith (Susan) Ebersohl of Chapmanville, WV, Trina (Dale) Creath of Murphysboro, and Kevin Ebersohl of Annandale, VA; daughter-in-law, Lori Vaughn-Ebersohl of Vienna, VA; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jon Mata) Ebersohl, Chelsea (Cyrus) Satarzedeh, Tayla (Andrew) Workman, Autumn (Jason) Connor, Cody (Stephanie) Creath, Courtney (Tommy Blackwell) Ebersohl and Sydney Ebersohl; 12 great grandchildren; and a special niece, Terry Buhs of E. Peoria, IL.

June was also preceded in death by her Parents and a brother, Dean Eisenhauer.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Pastor Stephanie Voss officiating. Burial will follow at Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, on Wednesday, where friends may call from 10 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Parrish Cemetery.
