STEELEVILLE – Judy McFadden, 75, of Steeleville, IL, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, at her home.

Judy was born January 14, 1950, in Chester, IL to Melvin and Irene (Hoops) Thies. She married Royce D. McFadden on September 7, 1974, in Campbell Hill, IL. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2006. Judy worked for many years at World Color Press, Sparta, IL, and retired from Gilster Mary Lee, Inc, Steeleville, IL. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL. In her younger years, she was an avid supporter and fan of the Thies boy's softball team. Judy was a devoted God Mother to many nieces and nephews. Judy and Royce loved to travel around the United States and surrounding countries.

Judy is survived by her siblings: Diann (Jerry) Moore of Willisville, IL, MaryAnn (Rick) Bowerman of Campbell Hill, IL, Connie (Bruce) Shockley of Lenzburg, IL, Terry Thies of Willisville, IL, and Melvin "Zeke" Thies of Willisville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Judy was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Gerald, Kenny "Cornbread," Lonnie "Buck," Randy "Nip", Allen "Allie"; her sister, Bonnie Faverty, her brother-in-law Daniel Faverty, and her niece, Carissa Boyd.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, 11:00 am, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, IL, with Rev. Norlyn B. Bartens officiating. Burial to follow at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell Hill, IL. Visitation will be Saturday morning, January 3, 2026, where friends may call from 9:00 am until time of service at the church.
