AVA, Judy K. Dammermann, 60, of Ava, passed away at 7:30 AM Thursday, November 3, 2011, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Illinois. She was born June 5, 1951 in Murphysboro, Illinois the daughter of Albert Gendron and Helen (Hardy) Gendron. Judy married Richard Dammermann on Friday, January 16, 1981 in Murphysboro, IL. Judy was a homemaker and attended the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Ava. Judy is survived by her husband, Richard Dammermann of Ava, IL; daughters, Chrissy (Dan) Smith of Perryville, MO, Chanda Fedderke of Chester, Heather (Terry) Clements of Chester; 9 grandchildren; mother: Helen Gendron of Willisville, IL; brothers, Thomas (Cynthia) Gendron of Pinckneyville, IL and Warren (Kathy) Gendron of Pinckneyville, IL; sister, Tracy Cheek of Ava, IL; sister-in-law, Marty Gendron of Cutler, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her Father; one brother, Gary "Harpo" Gendron; and one great niece, Taylor Gendron. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, with Thomas Gendron, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given Sandra's Comfort.
