STEELEVILLE – Judith A. (Judy) Wilson, 75, of Steeleville, IL, passed away January 21, 2026, at Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, IL.
Judy was born June 30, 1950, in Red Bud, IL to Elmer H. and Lillian A. (Bruns) Haberman. She married Jerry L. Wilson on April 16, 1977, at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. They were blessed with a daughter, Jennifer A. Wilson. Judy retired from Buena Vista National Bank, in Chester, IL June 2015. She was a member of the Randolph County Farm Bureau and a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL.
Judy is survived by her husband Jerry and daughter Jennifer Wilson of Steeleville, IL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Joan & Dave Dotson of Sparta, IL and Connie & Stan Gaertner of Ellis Grove, IL; nephews: Alan (Christal) Haberman of Sparta, IL, Steven (Heather) Haberman of St. Paul, TX, Steven (Brittney Crain) Dotson of Steeleville, IL; nieces: Debra (Brian) Meyer of Red Bud, IL, Kelly (Dane) Walls of Ellis Grove, IL, Molly (Curtis) Ebers of Chester, IL, Christina (Josh) Dunnigan of Marion, IL; great nieces and nephews: Faith, Alyssa & Brody Haberman, Jake & Josie Haberman, Lilly & Layla Meyer, Reese & Gracelynn Ebers, Caitlin & John Dunnigan, Khloe Dotson, Aubrey Armstrong, Hoyt & Gatlin Walls and numerous friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer & Lil Haberman, brother, Larry Haberman, sisters-in-law, Colleen Haberman & Peggy Haberman, and father and mother-in-law, Melvin & Dorothy Wilson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Ken Tegtmeier and Parish Ministry Assistant Julie Posth officiating. Burial to follow at Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be Monday evening, January 26, 2026, at Peace Lutheran Church where friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and Tuesday morning from 7:30 am until time of service, at the church.
Memorials may be given to the Randolph County Humane Society or Peace Lutheran Church in
Steeleville, IL and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
