STEELEVILLE – Judith S. Clasen, 84, of Engelwood, Florida, formally of Steeleville, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020, in Engelwood, Florida.

Judith was born on July 2, 1936, in Chester, Illinois, the daughter of Paul N. and Virginia Arcelle Depew Paulus.  She married Clarence H. Clasen on February 22, 1991, at Belleville, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on August 20, 2014.  Judith was a retired secretary. She was a member Redeemer Lutheran Church in Engelwood, Florida.

Judith is survived by her son, Mike (Jackie) Chamness of Hurst, IL.  Daughter, Mindy (Wade) Duncan of Rotonda West, FL.  Stepson, Dale (Sandy) Clasen of Edwardsville, IL.  Stepdaughters; Phyllis (Doug) Hall of St. Louis, MO, and Janice Creighton of The Village, FL.  Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Half-brother, Zachery Dupew Taylor of Del Valle, TX.

Judith was also preceded in death by her parents, one half-sister and one brother.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, Monday, October 12, 2020, at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, with Reverend Mark Harriss officiating.  Burial will follow.    Memorials may be given to St. Judes Children Hospital or Redeemer Lutheran Church in Engelwood, FL .  To sign the guestbook visit www.wilsonsfuneralhome.net.  By executive order, face masks are required and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
