CAMPBELL HILL – Juanita June Ebers, 85, of Campbell Hill passed away at 4:45 AM, Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Juanita was born on June 23, 1934, in Campbell Hill, the daughter of Walter and Emma (Hornbostel) Oetjen. She married Edgar William Ebers on December 29, 1951, at West Point, Illinois, and they shared 39 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on June 2, 1991. Juanita was a CNA at the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro and was a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, and the Red Hatters.

Juanita is survived by her children; Gary (Linda) Ebers, of Campbell Hill, Darrell Ebers, of Sparta, Connie (Randy) Ashby, of Percy, Bonnie Ebers, of Campbell Hill, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings; Gilbert (Norma Lou) Oetjen, of Golconda, Illinois, Emilie (Morris) Jany, of Chester, and Larry Oetjen, of Campbell Hill, and her dog, Bear.

Mrs. Ebers was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law; Leland and Beverly Oetjen, and one great grandson; Preston.

Private graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell Hill, with Minister Deb Rathert officiating. There will be a short visitation time at the cemetery on Wednesday from 1 to 1:30 PM.  Memorials may be given to St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery or St. Luke Lutheran Church.  Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava is assisting the family with the arrangements.
