CAMPBELL HILL – Joyce E. Thies, 75, of Campbell Hill, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, MO.

Joyce was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, on November 15, 1946, the daughter of Norman F. and Clara (Elting) Thies. Joyce was retired from SIH. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, and the St. Luke Choir. She was very involved in many different organizations at the church for many years.

Joyce is survived by her brothers: Donald (Debbie) Thies of Ava, IL, Robert (Karen) Thies of Ava, IL, Paul (Theresa) Thies of Coulterville, IL; sisters: Faye (James) Seger of Swansea, IL, Doris (Terry) Bittle of Freeburg, IL, Vera (Dennis) Pugh, of O'Fallon, IL; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Thies.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11:30 am, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Thursday, from 9:30 – 11:30 am, at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Luke's Lutheran Church and can mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O.
