AVA – Joyce R. Eisenhauer, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at her home in Ava, Illinois. Born on July 10, 1941, in Murphysboro, IL, the daughter of Dallas L. and Mary E. (King) Nation.

Joyce attended Ava Grade School, Trico High School, and Southern Illinois University. She was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. Joyce married Darrell Gene Eisenhauer on February 9, 1979, in Murphysboro, IL. Joyce retired from the Department of Corrections – Menard. Joyce was an avid reader and loved movies.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Darrell Gene Eisenhauer, by her daughter, Lorraine Gray Stoewsand and her husband Chris, her granddaughter, Katelyn Stoewsand, her stepchildren, Julie, Darrell, Jr and Michelle Eisenhauer, her step-grandchildren: Britany Johnson, Loni Eisenhauer, Lida Eisenhauer, and Dean Eisenhauer; several great grandchildren, and a very dear niece Stacy Reiman.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, and a very special cousin, Pete Reiman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Rev. Jim Easton officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
