Joseph L. Doss PERCY, Joseph L. Doss, 71, of Percy, passed away at 6:05 P.M. Friday, June 20, 2008, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. Joseph was born August 16, 1936 in Watson, Indiana the son of Moody Doss and Mannie (Shannon) Doss. He married Delores M. Brueggemann on July 20, 1963 at Steeleville, IL. Joseph was a retired mechanic. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville, IL. Joseph is survived by his wife Delores M. Doss of Percy, IL; one daughter, Kathy Stiens of Percy, IL; one son, Brian Doss of Percy; 3 grandsons, one granddaughter; four sisters, Jane Shields of California, Ethel Hoskins of New Albany, IN, Shirley Woolford of Springfield, IL and Charlene Huey of Sparta, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 24, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 to 11 am at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or the American Lung Association.
