CUTLER, Jon Michael Rettig, 24, of Belleville, formerly of Cutler, IL, was tradegically killed in an automobile accident, Saturday morning, October 11, 2008, around 4:00 am. He left this world holding on to the love of his life, Christine Emig. They were recently engaged to be married. Now they are together forever. He was born February 25, 1984 in Chester, Illinois the son of Kenneth Rettig and Patricia (Bierman) Rettig. He was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Cutler and St. Louis Carpenter's Local #73. He is survived by his mother Patricia Rettig of Cutler, IL; three brothers, Jeremy Rettig of Cutler, Justin Rettig of Cutler and Kalob Roberts of Marion, IL; two sisters, Megan Rettig of Cutler, and Kenna Rettig of Sparta; grandmother, Jerri Hurst of Las Vegas, NV; one aunt, Sheila Snyder of Cutler; several aunts and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Rettig. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Reformed Presbyterian Church in Cutler with Rev. Brent Easton officiating. Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery in Cutler. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm and on Thursday from 7:30 am to Noon and on Thursday at Reformed Presbyterian Church, Cutler, IL from 1 to 2 pm.
