PERCY – Jon K. Fryer, 66, of Percy, passed away at 7:30 pm, on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Percy.

Jon was born in Canton, Ohio, on January 24, 1958, the son of William E. and Norma J. Garvin Fryer. Jon retired from Coal Mining, working at various locations. He was of the Christian Faith. Jon was a member of U.M.W. of A. Jon was an avid fisherman and enjoyed all outdoor activities.

Jon is survived by his daughter, Toby J. (Dan) McCain of Waterloo, IL; grandson, Grayson McCain; brother, Bill (Michelle) Fryer of Ellis Grove, IL; nephew, Scott (Keri) Fryer; two nieces, Tracy Fryer and Stephanie (Adam) Tope; close family friends, Brittany "Doc", Erik and Colton Kramer; and three step sisters, Deb Rohlfing, Tammy Franklin and Kim Davis.

Jon was preceded in death by his Parents; step mother; and one step brother.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 1 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, with Jeff Walker officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, from 11 am until 1 pm. Memorials may be given to the Family or American Cancer Society.
