STEELEVILLE – John Zeidler, 73, of Steeleville, IL, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at Red Bud Care Center, Red Bud, Illinois.

John was born January 4, 1949, in Steeleville, IL, a son to William H. and Ruth L. (Hartmann) Zeidler. John was a retired owner/carpenter of Zeidler Construction, Steeleville. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville. John was an avid hunter, enjoying being outside, jeep and trail riding.

John is survived by his children: Jim (Amanda) Zeidler of Steeleville, Rebecca (Clint) Cain of Perrysburg, OH; grandsons, Weston and Cien, his mother, Ruth Zeidler of Steeleville, sisters: Ruth A. Russell of Steeleville, and Barbara Howard of Sherman, IL.

John is preceded in death by his father, William H. Zeidler.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Mark Harriss officiating. Burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Friends may call from 11 – 1 pm at the church.
