CHESTER, John Henry Miller, 58, of Chester, passed away at 4:37 A.M. Friday, November 26, 2010, at his home in Chester, IL. John was born May 15, 1952 in Neelyville, Missouri the son of Herman Miller and Annie Ludell (Price) Miller. He married Donna Rigdon on January 21, 1995 in Chester. He was a retired Staff Sergeant having served 20 years in the US Army. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Chester and the American Legion Post #487 in Chester. John is survived by his wife, Donna Miller of Chester; four children, John Wayne (Mandy) Miller of Percy, Kirk Ray (Tracy) Miller of Chester, Anicia (George) Goldsberry of Goose Creek, MO, Gale Frazer (Sara McBride) of DeSoto; eight brothers and sisters, Loretta Cotton of Campbell Hill, Jerry (Nita) Miller of Campbell Hill, Jennie (Bud) Thielemann of Ava, Shirley (Chester) Ratka of Cahokia, Robert (Gloria) Miller of Poplar Bluff, MO, Rick (Mary Ann) Miller of Campbell Hill, Deborah (Lawrence) Skurat of Campbell Hill, Janice (David) Reid of Percy; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Francis Bartley officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm and on Monday from 7:30 am until hour of service.
