AVA, John H. Killion, 68, of Ava, passed away at 7:45 A.M. Thursday, November 04, 2010, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, IL. He was born June 26, 1942 in Ava, Illinois the son of Harry Killion and Helen (Wilson) Killion. John married Martha Frances Roseme on August 4, 1962 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Murphysboro, IL. He is survived by his wife Martha Frances Killion of Ava, IL; one son: James and Sherri Killion of Ava, IL; one daughter: Kathleen and Jimmy Doty of Ava, IL; Grandchildren: Clayton, Lorrie, Harrison Killion, Ethan, Evan and Cameron Doty; mother-in-law: Martha Roseme of Ava, IL; sisters-in-law: Patsy and Gale Garver of Ava, IL, Marsha Roseme of Murphysboro, IL and a host of cousins. John is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Frank Roseme, one sister-in-law, Phyllis Higgerson. He was a Appraiser & Real Estate Broker owning Killion Farm Real Estate. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Murphysboro, IL and he attended Crain Baptist Church in Ava, IL. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava. Rev. Gilbert Gee will be officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Murphysboro. Visitation will be on Saturday from 5 to 8pm at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava and then on Sunday from 7:30 to 1pm. Memorials may be made to Crain Baptist Church
