AVA – JoAn G. Bollmann, 89, of Ava, passed away at 10:55 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Randolph County Care Center in Sparta.

JoAn was born in Ava, Illinois, on January 28, 1935, the daughter of Donald and Grace L. Henson Lively. She married Walter Bollmann on September 6, 1957, in Rockledge, Florida. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2013. JoAn was a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point and was active in various church committees. She was a 4H leader for 30 plus years, a member of DAR, American Legion Post #1096 Auxiliary, Campbell Hill, and Jackson County Farm Extension Service in various farm programs. JoAn was very active with her grandchildren sporting events and loved taking trips with her family. She was very active in her life and in her family.

JoAn is survived by her children, Mark (Mary Ellen) Bollmann of Bremen, IL, Michael (Diana) Bollmann of Red Bud, IL, and Linda (Darl) Lodge of Ava; her grandchildren, Trevor (Morgan) Bollmann, Casey (Krista) Bollmann, Emily (Fred) Buncombe, Lindsey Bollmann, Jordan (Justin) Meyerhoff, and Hunter (Jessica) Lodge; and five great grandchildren, Evan, Ian, Sage, Jedsen and Walker.

JoAn was also preceded in death by her Parents.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Noon, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point, with Rev. Mark Sedwick officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call on Tuesday from 6 pm until 8 pm, then on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 10 am, and from 11 am until Noon at the church.
