MURPHYSBORO – Jill Mueller, 58, of Murphysboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Manor Court in Carbondale.

Jill was born in Chester, Illinois, on April 8, 1965, the daughter of William and Donna L. Vogt Brown. She married Craig Mueller on August 15, 1999 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Murphysboro. Jill was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Murphysboro. She was a Student Advisor at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Jill is survived by Craig Mueller of Murphysboro; children, Tanner Oetjen of Houston, TX, Kaitlyn Oetjen of Houston, TX; stepson, Clay (Mila) Mueller of SanAntonio, TX; stepdaughter, Celci (Adam) Logue of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Cole and Cain Mueller; Father, William Brown of Campbell Hill, IL; brothers, Jeffrey (Pam) Brown of DuQuoin, IL and Jason (Nancy) Brown of Albion, IL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lloyd and Ruth Mueller of Murphysboro; sister-in-law, Susan (Chuck) Closson of Murphysboro; and best friend, Jill Coleman of Campbell Hill.

Jill was preceded in death by her Mother and Grandparents.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Murphysboro, with Rev. Matthew Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Murphysboro. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 5 pm until 7 pm on Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 9 am then at the church from 10 am until the hour of service.
