AVA – Jerry W. Graham, Sr, 85, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Evelyn’s House, Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Jerry was born on July 31, 1941, in Mt Vernon, IL, to Everett and Letha Jane (Webb) Graham. He married Janet Kay Turner on January 30, 1963, in Salem, IL. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2023. Jerry was a Master Mechanic at Captain Mines then retired from the City of Ava. He was a mechanic all his life. Jerry was a member of Old Union Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, IL and UMWA Local #1392.

Jerry is survived by his children: Jay (Heather) Graham of Steeleville, IL, Lisa Graham of Ava, IL, Tammy S. (Don) Phelps of Mt. Vernon, IL; his grandchildren: Veronica Smith, Jillian Lewis, Tarin (Ryan) Alde, Zachary Graham, Evan Graham; his great grandsons, Christopher Dagner and Aiden Smith.

Jerry was also preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Debi Graham, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 infant brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, 10:00 am, at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL, with Rev. Robert Spangler officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2026, where friends may call from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Ava, IL.
