AVA, Jennie Giordano, 85, of Ava, passed away at 8:30 PM Friday, March 2, 2012, at her home in Ava, Illinois. Jennie was born May 5, 1926 in London, England, the daughter of William and Jane (Hunter) Wilshire. Jennie married Martin Giordano,Jr. on Saturday, April 15, 1961 in Hammond, IN. Jennie was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Willisville, IL and a member of the British Brides Club. She is survived by her husband, Martin Giordano,Jr., of Ava; a son: Martin (Tina) Giordano III of Ava; a daughter in law, Janice Eyer of Willlisville, a sister, Ann Holland of England, 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, a son, William Eyer, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the St. Bruno's Catholic Church in Pinckneyville with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Memorials are to any local No-Kill Animal Shelter.
