MURPHYSBORO – Jeffrey M. Brown, 60, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at his home in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Jeff was born on August 15, 1963, in Murphysboro, IL, the son of Jackie D. and Barbara J. (Turk) Brown. He married Suzanne M. Underwood on July 27, 1985, at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Murphysboro, IL. Jeff was retired from the Carbondale Post Office. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Murphysboro Elks Lodge #572, Sons of the American Legion Paul Stout #127, and the Moose Lodge #1591.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Suzi Brown, of Murphysboro, IL, his son, Levi Brown of Murphysboro, IL, his daughter, Tori (Josh) Herring of Springfield, IL, his grandchildren: Laela Herring and Jameson Herring; siblings: Jimmy (Kim) Brown of Murphysboro, IL, Rebecca (Chris) Zotter of Austin, TX; and his grandmother, Phoebe Underwood of Murphysboro, IL.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie and Barbara Brown, one son, Jacob Brown, mother and father-in-law, Corky & Tommy Underwood, brother, Bobby Brown, sister, Maryann Brown, brother-in-law, Stan Underwood, and a great niece, Lily Brown

It was Jeff's wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
