BELLEVILLE – Jean Etta Whittaker, 62, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Evelyn House, Creve Coeur, MO.

Jean was born on July 29, 1961, in Sparta, IL, the daughter of James Edward and Lottie Mae (Volkmer) Pierce. She married David E. Whittaker on October 27, 2001, in Belleville, IL. Jean was a Registered Nurse.

Jean is survived by her husband David Whittaker of Belleville, IL, her mother, Lottie Mae Pierce of Sparta, IL, her siblings: Jan (Keefe) Huddleston of Sparta, IL, Jill (Jeff) LeTempt of Alabama, and Jamie (Dale) Hartmann of Chester, IL.

Jea is preceded in death by her father, James E. Peirce.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with a family Eulogy. Burial to follow at Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta, IL.
