CAMPBELL HILL – Janet L. Rieckenberg, 72, of Campbell Hill passed away at 9:30 AM, Friday, March 6, 2020, at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester.

Janet was born on June 22, 1947, in Murphysboro, the daughter of Edward C. and Edna C. (Lange) Lehmberg. She married Dale E. Rieckenberg on November 27, 1971, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, and they shared 31 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 29, 2003. Janet was retired from the Bank of America, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, St. Paul's Ladies Aid, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1096, Campbell Hill. She was active with the Shiloh Community College serving as the treasurer.

Janet is survived by a host of family and friends.

Mrs. Rieckenberg was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, with Rev. Sean R. Smith officiating, and burial will follow at the Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville. Visitation will be held at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville on Monday evening where friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, and then on Tuesday from 9 to 10 AM at the church. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Ladies Aid or the St. Paul's Organ Fund.
