CUTLER – M. Jane Kuhnert, 85, of Cutler, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at her home.

Jane was born on December 4, 1940, in Percy, IL to Clemens and Wilma A. (Boyd) Meyerhoff. She married Jerry J. Kuhnert on April 28, 1976, in Percy, IL. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1993. Jane retired from Chester Bank, Sparta branch. She was a member of Percy Methodist Church and attended First Baptist Church, Cutler, IL. Jane was also a member of BBK American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville. She volunteered work with the Presbyterian Food Pantry, Cutler, Cutler Library Board, and various projects in the Cutler community.

Jane is survived by her stepson, Monte Kuhnert of DuQuoin, IL, her nieces, Jennifer (Eddy) Howell of Murphysboro, IL, Allisen (Brian) Thies of Cutler, IL, and her great nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Margaret Anne Witbart, and her stepdaughter, Jill LaVieri.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, 11:00 am, at First Baptist Church, Cutler, IL, with Rev. Wesley C. Henson officiating. Burial to follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Visitation will be Friday evening, where friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and then 7:30 – 9:00 am, Saturday at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, and from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. Memorials may be given to Presbyterian Food Pantry or Perry County Humane Society and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
