STEELEVILLE- James H. Pallasch, 82, of Steeleville passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at his home.
James was born on May 10, 1939, in Montague, MA, to Earl and Helen Day Pallasch. He married Beverly Zahner on January 8, 1966, in Freeburg IL. James served his country in the Vietnam war serving in the Navy. He is retired from the U.S. Navy, and also from Unity in Pinckneyville. James is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sparta IL, as well as BBK American Legion Post 480, in Steeleville IL.
James is survived by his wife Beverly Pallasch of Steeleville; his children, Denise (Barry) Lewis of Charleston, SC, Steven (Tina) Fricke of Port Smith, VA, Bonnie (Brian) Barber of Hazelwood MO, Lanonie (Earl) Dorf of Tilden IL; his grandchildren Erik Jessen, Ian Lewis, Linnea Lewis, William Fricke, and Matthew Dorf; and great grandchildren; sister, Norma Hines of Orange City, FL.
James was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, December 10, 2021, at Wilsons Funeral Home in Steeleville IL, with Rev. Carl Miller Officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be at Wilson's funeral Home Steeleville, where friends may call on Thursday from 6pm until 8pm and on Friday 7:30 am until 10:30 am.
