Obituary

CUTLER, James F. "Mut" Morgan, 81, of Cutler, passed away at 5:14 AM Monday, February 27, 2012, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. James was born in Ava, IL on May 30, 1930, the son of James H. and Nina Ellen King Morgan. He married Helen Rury on August 8, 1952 in Steeleville, IL. She preceded him in death on July 3, 1995. He served in the US Army in the 7th Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict. James was a retired guard at the Coal Mines; Bus Driver; and Janitor from Trico High School. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Pinckneyville; the Percy American Legion Post #1145 and a former member of the Odd Fellow Lodge. James is survived by two children, Kathy Brawley of Cutler and Tammy Miller of Cutler; three grandchildren, Mindy, Travis and Ronnie; several great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three brothers, Fred E. Morgan of Percy, Wayne D. Morgan of Willisville and Raymond L. Morgan of Vandalia, IL; two sisters, Wilma Baker of Herrin, IL and Barbara Gaetz of Arkansas; and nieces and nephews. James is also preceded in death by his parents; one son: Ricky; and one sister: Amanda. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Pastor Kenneth Robinson and Dave Illig officiating. Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the family.
