MURPHYSBORO – James B. Halstead, 54, of Murphysboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL.

James was born in Sparta, IL, on March 31, 1968, the son of Lester and Dorothy (Hartman) Halstead. James was owner/operator of Pool & Spa Care, Murphysboro, IL. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is his son Ian (Sidney) Halstead of Union City, TN, his mother, Dorothy (Bill) Lively of Percy, IL, his siblings: Jennifer Norton of Lillington, NC, Cheryl (Joe) Eaton of Nashville, IL, David Halstead of Makanda, IL, Scott Lively of Percy, IL, Mike (Dawn) Lively of Percy, IL, and Steve (Jennifer) Lively of Percy, IL.

James is preceded in death by his father, Lester Halstead.
