CAMPBELLL HILL, James V. Farris, 58, of Campbell Hill, passed away at 7:42 PM Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, Illinois. He was born July 29, 1956 in Pinckneyville, Illinois the son of James V. and Ammie (Pratt) Farris. James married Brenda McClaine on November 29, 1975 at Denmark Baptist Church in Denmark, IL. James was retired from Gilster Mary Lee Corp. in Steeleville. He was of the Presbyterian Faith. He is survived by his wife: Brenda Farris, Campbell Hill, IL; Children: Joshua Farris, Percy, IL and Kristin Cross, Percy, IL; grandchildren: Valerie, Marcus, Brooke, Abbey, Hayden and Alle; mother: Ammie Farris, Sparta, IL; siblings: Carolyn and Harry Duncan, Browns, IL, Pam and Roland Luthy, Amelia, Ohio, Martha and John Allen Odum, Sparta, IL, Mike and Joyce Weinhoffer, Cutler, IL and Charles and Peggy Stevenson, Beckemeyer, IL. James is preceded in death by his father and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home, Percy, Illinois with Rev. Roland Luthy officiating. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Percy, where friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 7:30am until hour of service. Memorials may be made to the Family.
