AVA – James "JT" Edward Taylor, 53, of Ava, passed away at 5:25 am, Monday, August 9, 2021, at Carbondale Rehab and Nursing Center in Carbondale.

James was born in Benton, Illinois, on April 24, 1968, to Fred and Kathryn Slechticky Taylor.  He was an Auto Mechanic.  He was of the Catholic Faith.  JT enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

James is survived by his Parents, Fred and Kathy Taylor of Ava; sister, Amy (Anthony) Signore of O'Fallon, IL; two nieces; one nephews; several aunts; one uncle; and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his Grandparents and one uncle.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Ava Evergreen Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Hospital.
