STEELEVILLE, James Conway, 70, of Steeleville, passed away at 2:05 AM Monday, October 27, 2014, at his home in Steeleville, Illinois. He was born October 12, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Jesse L. and Oma Conway. James was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict. James was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his children: Jimmy Conway, Pinckneyville, IL; Terry (Misty) Conway, Steeleville, IL and Sherry (Chris) Casten, Sesser, IL; Grandchildren: Autumn Casten, Trenton Conway, Caleb Conway, Gravin Conway, Shealyn Conway and Aiden Conway; Siblings: Juanita Markel, Sparta, IL; Bill Conway, Sparta, IL and Bob (Carol) Conway, Baytown, TX. James is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Jesse Conway, Jr., Eula Mae Grogan, Betty Conway and Stella Smith. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, Sparta, IL with Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, then on Thursday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the church. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association or Calvary Baptist Church.
