Obituary
AVA – James Leroy Brooks, 74, of Carbondale, formerly of Ava, passed away at 7:50 am, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Manor Court in Carbondale.
James Leroy was born in Howerton, Illinois, on July 17, 1944, the son of Henry Presley and Florence Viola Puckett Brooks. He was a Retired Laborer and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
James Leroy is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Graveside service will be held at 9 am, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Ava Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Larry Worthen officiating. Memorials may be given toward funeral expenses. Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, is assisting the family with arrangements.
